What is Sign Language Week?

Sign Language Week is held every year in March since the UK government recognised BSL as an official language.

The campaign aims to celebrate, educate and preserve BSL and to encourage more people to start learning.

BSL was legally recognised in law by the UK Government on 28th April 2022, which is known annually as ‘National BSL Day’.
